OS delete and Format help.

This morning when I started my pc I received a message saying something like 'File C:Windows/drivers are missing, please insert your Windows XP cd.'

So I did what it asked me and something happened and the PC rebooted and it Automatically installed a second Windows XP.

Now how can I Uninstall the second Xp and format my Hard Drive?

well if you format your hard drive they would be no OS's left on your system so go ahead and format your disk.

then how do you format your hard drive?

1) backup what you need to backup
2) insert xp/vist/os cd
3) boot from it - setup
4) format with the os cd during installation
5) beer and sit back
6) install SPs of needed
7) direct X
8) drivers
9) programs / games / utils

Thanx I formated my HD reinstalled windows and it works great now.
