OS6 Browser on OS5

I've gone back to OS5 due to the memory leak on OS6 and I'm really missing the OS6 browser.

So, is it possible to install just the OS6 Browser onto my phone while running OS5?

I was actually reading a article talking about that. The answer was no....the new browser for OS6 was designed to be tighly integrated into the actual OS....so it is not backwards compatible. Hopefully the memory leak (I actually dont know what this is lol) will be fixed when the OS is officially released for the 9700 and 9300.

Memory leak = your available memory, sometimes gradually sometimes suddenly, drops rock bottom.

After installing OS6 I had ±50MB free. After a while my phone would start getting really slow, the clock (hour glass) would show when doing simple things like using BBM and hang. Check available memory and its at 13MB. It once dropped to less then 2MB. And everytime that happend (which was at least once a day) I had to do a battery pull. Becomes very frustrating as well as annoying.

Ye I have that.
But the battery pull is so primitive, press alt shift delete, atleast the OS6 starts up quick.

I still dread doing that battery pull crap because of the reboot time on the BB. Wish it was quicker.
 
I used to do the alt shift delete to reboot since quickpull stopped working with the updated OS6. I didn't mind the reboot that much, and as you rightly say, it reboots in 2mins max. The hanging and freezing is what got to me.
