Is Apple in the habit of releasing betas of new OS's or is it not their style? Just wondering due to the 'imminent' release of Leopard (can't wait..)

They release betas to the developers but not to the general public.

As far as i know leopard will be released sometime in October.

It's a major update.

Yeah - but at $500 for the Select membership or $3500 for Premier you'd have to be pretty keen

If I really was a developer, I'd think about getting a dev subscription. But for now it's just not worth the money. OSX isn't exactly expensive.

Thats a good price compared to Vista, and i take it there is only 1 version

Well there is a server edition but as far as most users are concerned yeah - one version.
