Okay, I know this is (slightly) off-topic, but hopefully someone can help.

I am on a Vodacom Talk500 package, but seem to go over every month. This causes wholesale anger in the house, as my wife doesn't like me spending R2000 on my cellphone when I pay for 500 minutes as it stands (stange, that).

Anyway, I am looking for an application that counts the remaining airtime in a month. I have a Nokia N73 (S60 3rd edition), which makes this quite challenging - I found various such apps, but none that work on S60 3rd edition. Any ideas?

I don't know about Vodacom, but on MTN, I check my remaining minutes & SMSes by dialling 16202 or 258.

Surely there must be something like that for Vodacom?

I have been having the same problem on a talk 240 even though I now use my phone alot less I still go over. If you found any apps for a S60 2nd edition could you post links to them ?

You can dial 126 on Vodacom. Think there's another way of doing it if ur on Vodacom SP but can't remember now.

You call always just reset you call log at the beginning of every month and check there :-)

Thanks for the advice, but I can't find such a function anywhere in the call log of the N73. Maybe I'm just being thick.

Also, some of the utilities I pointed out have nice graphic displays that sit on the "Today" screen all the time, keeping you constantly up to date without having to check every now and again.

About the call log thing:

Menu > Log > Call Duration

It has last call, dailed nos, recieved calls etc.
If you go options, clear timers, type in the security code (12345) - it clears them. Do this when you get your free minutes, and then when you see it's at 500, stop using the phone!

Finally got round to checking this out. Cool and thanks for the tip! Might not be as easy to see as an actual counter on the screen the whole time, but I've set the log as an "active standby app", so I can check it fairly easily. Much appreciated!
