I was just talking to someone on irc. He is on dialup and he says they pay a "base cost" and then all local calls are free.

Does anyone know something abt this?

It sure is unusual to see someone on dialup online for long periods in the daytime. He lives in Jhb.

Dont believe everything you read.... do you really thing that telkom will offer this service..

You might find someone else does

If it was on IRC, he might have been from overseas. I haven't heard about a service like this. Unless Telkom is testing it.

Oh no he is very definitelly local.

His isp is mweb.

Free local calls are available to some Telkom VoIP customers at the moment... But you still have to pay your internet charges (ADSL).
