This certainly is an interesting development. What's the balance between generic VoIP training and Otel services? Looking through the prospectus it seems very much tied around the Otel product offering IMO.

This certainly is an interesting development. What's the balance between generic VoIP training and Otel services? Looking through the prospectus it seems very much tied around the Otel product offering IMO.

The Academy was initially developed to train interested VoIP Entrepreneurs to familiarize and use OTELs vast Telephone 2.0 services only.

However, as time went on, we've noticed an uptake from entrepreneurs in other industries who want to enter the telecoms industry. So we've added 3 extra days and an Exam at a SETA training center to provide a neutral outlook of VoIP, Telecoms in South Africa, Vendor Telephony setup and support, as well as many other topics listed in the Courseware on the website.

Being an OTEL product, the attendee will walk away with a vast knowledge of Telecoms, VoIP and Broadband. He/she will also become an Accredited Channel Partner to OTEL, where he will immediately have access to infrastructure where he/she can begin deploying VoIP services for his company or his clients.

I do not know if Damelin, Boston Campus or the like offer anything of the like, they would offer a neutral view...but this OTEL course will put the participant in a much better position to make informed decisions in their Telecoms strategy.

Please read the testimonials. We've had various other providers staff who have also attended.

What about us Durbanites,we always seem to be the last to benefit from these type of courses ?

What about us Durbanites,we always seem to be the last to benefit from these type of courses ?

We would like to present the course nationally, as long as it is commercially feasible.
Unfortunately, the bookings from Durban have not reached those numbers as yet, but we're hoping that it does.

Thus far, we have had a number of participants who have traveled from Durban to attend the week long course.

So if anyone is interested in attending the course in Durban, please visit

and pre-register using the Durban option.

If we receive sufficient interest, we will present there too.

Thank you for the interest.
