I hear what you're saying, and agree with the spirit of it. Surely you can see though that it is not too much of a stretch to see how the many South Africans who were imprisoned, beaten, abducted, held without trial etc might feel about the old SA flag. Then think about the many more who couldn't choose where they wanted to live, or had to produce passbooks to walk along the street, or were subjected to an inferior education or any or the hundreds or daily indignities that non-whites were subjected to in the old days?
The new flag is neither the old flag, nor the ANC flag. Associating ANC-bombings of the past with the new flag is confusing the issue.
I'm all for tolerance - tolerance with respect. We can all respect each other's heritage as long as we respect how others might view the symbols of that heritage.
Thanks, luckily it was done very selectively, kind with kind, its the non kind with kind ones that is concerning. Luckily my forefathers had breeding stock and common sense else I would have been a colored today.
Fool. Apartheid was only after South Africa became a republic 1964? Then the new laws were made and implemented. Apartheid before then was by natural selection as anywhere else in the world, introduced by the British. But yes I can understand you mature intelligent attitude. I can see where that comes from.

PS I was still a germ in 1948 only became aware of things in 1964 so for me that was the period. 1964 - Madiba release. Before that well I was not responsible so forgive me, Please!. During that period I did not take part in racism, I inherited the mess. So as long as you are happy, I am too and if not, your problem!

Nope! Only stated that my inbreeding made we white else I was colored. Now I am not. I have nothing against any race, would just not breed with others, its my and your choice. I just love who I am. Sulk boy! sulk!
