Hi all - so my first post
I have been wanting to post this question for some time now but i have never gotten around to do it...
Anyhows, this is it:
If ICASA is supposed to be governing the telecoms industry - how can it still be that we are paying R2 per MB for data outside of a bundle...?
Let me elaborate:
Vodafone
K4505
(MyGig 2 Standard)
R149.00 pm
this equals a little over R 0,07 cents per MB - now u might say this is a contract, even 100% or even 200% would be acceptable but is this not 2800% more (It is 28 x +-) o_0
How can it be justified that we pay approx 28 times more MB outside of bundle. The networks just seem to be cashing in on the fact that people dont understand the nitty gritty of data break downs.
I dont pay R28 per minute outside of bundle whereby i pay R1 per minute or (unit) within bundle on a phone call, thus how can the data charges be justified? Is ICASA not supposed to be governing these costs?
Any comments appreciated - tx peeps
