Outa rubbishes e-toll readiness claims

Ive always known that it is never a good idea to pay off debt with more debt.... seems I was wrong according to SANRAL.

R65bn .....They are so screwed.

Only a retard would think this was a good idea...

i point blank reject e-tolling . sanral fail.

One more reason why I donate to Outa - about the only entity in this country properly fighting this non-sense.

Hmm. Don't want to kick them when they are down, but sounds like SANRAL would not be able to cover repair costs to the system if someone caused major damage to it.
Like hooking a heavy tow truck to the gantry and pulling it over. Or ripping open the security door and taking a firehose to the inside. Stealing all the cameras off while dressed like SANRAL road workers. Accidentally driving a truck into one of the buildings at the petrol stations.

I think the DA need to make it extremely hard for the ANC to use gov coffers to cover temp needs.. they wanted it in, they need to put it in prior to elections or not at all.

I think they would like this - I am sure they are covered by insurance and would welcome a windfall of insurance money right now...

Show the ANC how civil disobedience works by not buying an e-tag. They wanted democracy, show them it works both ways ..

Who the hell is Sanral anyway to try & force us into accepting their crap decisions? We the public should be demanding the transport ministers head on a platter, not shy away because we are being threatened by scum.

OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!!

Aaw man! There goes another dream. Btw - in case anyone is interested: For reasons I won't go into now - I recently rented a heavy tow truck. Feel free to let me know if anyone could use it. :whistling:

Giving us some ideas...

Would work once system is up and running. :)

For a drive around Gauteng while letting the cable out at the back and let it hook whatever is in the way like unused gantries etc........:whistling:

Wonder which ANC cadre is making money from this e-tolling? Nothing gets done for the people - just enrichment of their pockets.

With all our tax we pay, no tolling is necessary anywhere.

SANRAL claim R100m a kilometre to build?????????? Are they mismanaged or what?

That's simply the operational costs, which are absurd in and of themselves. Including all costs to build, toll, and finance, it works out to R351 million per kilometre...
