Hi

I currently use a EdgerouterX with 1x Unifi AC Long range AP ( UAP-AC-LR) for indoor coverage. What would be the best option to extend the wifi outdoor 360 deg around house, a radius of around 30m to 40m?

Will one of these units be able to cover the whole area (30m radius)?

If I mount this unit on the roof, will it also cover the house inside, or is there a "dead" area underneath?

Thanks

I didnt know you wanted to mount it that high to see around your house. Most of the signal strength would be going over your head so this isnt the right product for you. It could work but that is not how its designed to be used.

Mine is mounted on the front of the house just above single story height and works fine, for the front of the house.

I have one of these mounted on a pole on the second story of my house. Moer high. Wifi coverage in the room right underneath it sucks. But my wifi camera at the gate with LOS 40m away works fine. Guess I put it too high for devices close to it.

I have 2 AP-AC-LR inside and an AC-Lite covering entertainment area. Wireless signal is still strong outside of my property. Needless to say, I have taken all security precautions to ensure there is no unauthorised access to my wifi network.
