Any msg bigger than 100K is blocked.
Thought it was only when an attachment was hooked on , but then tried to put text in msg so that it exeeds 100Kb .. same thing happened. it got blocked. Anything smaller goes through.

Talked to the net work guys , they checked the tower , everything is fine. Troed 082155 , they wont allow me to talk to the administrators on the mail servers. Stuck in a rut ..... losing bussiness.... now for 5 days ... getting impatient
Anyone experiencing the same thing...

oooh yes, checked all the settings , checked if it is software related from hthe mail client , none of that sorts , tried if with diff mail clients . Its only smtp.vodamil.co.za that does it. Mweb account is fine , gmail account is fine ... only vodamail .. is giving trouble.

ppl at helpdesk say its tower /network fault , cant be , then gmail mweb clients wont work either.

Some one help please

I assume this is for a Vodacom email address? You don't have to use the Vodacom SMTP server.

AFAIK, if you are connecting via an MWEB connection, then you can use the MWEB smtp server, without authenticaton, for sending out email from any email address. This should apply to the mail servers of most ISPs. Just use the SMTP server of the ISP providing your current internet connection.

If all else fails, use the GMAIL SMTP server, but you have to authenticate with the server using your GMAIL username and password. It should allow you to send out mail from any email account, as long as you authenticate.

You first have to add the vodamail to your gmail account address as a custom 'From' address.

This would be my first choice, because it is authenticated (and secure) you can use it from any network, also you don't have to worry about your ISP's mail server losing your mail, getting blacklisted or bouncing it as falsely identified spam.
