Outgoing mail server

Hi

I am trying to set my new mail account on my iPhone. My incoming mail server is working fine however I am struggling with outgoing mails.

My email service provider said I should use smtp.isdsl.net (which works fine on my outlook) but doesn't seem to work on my iPhone. I am on a MTN contract, any suggestions??

Outgoing server should be mtn's and not your isp's as far I know

In order to cut down on spam, most ISPs only accept email from their own IP addresses.
When on MTN you will need to use mail.mtn.co.za.

Alternatively, you can configure a gmail account to allow you to send email from your email address and use gmail's secure SMTP server from any network.
