I have a dsl account with Openweb, which is on sale of Telkom Saix access.
I changed my outgoing smtp server on my outlook to smtp.saix.net but getting some 550 Black list error.

My allocated IP on the dsl router belongs to a - Neology IPClub DSL User allocations - on Afrinic WHOIS.
So not sure if this been blocked by SAIX.

The connectivity works fine is use my IS dsl account on my DSL router.

Anyone have similar problems or suggestions?

Tried setting up the authentication - under More Settings in outlook 2007 and done a test connection - Send test e-mail message: None of the authentication methods supported by this client are supported by your server.

Do you have Antivirus running eg. Norton outgoing mail scan can become an issue. Also check if you can send out from another pc using the same settings to ruleout the pc or telkom problem.

keep us posted.

Please contact the OpenWeb support guys to get the correct mail relay configuration. You are no longer using the SAIX network so smtp.saix.net will not work ;)

edit: what email address are you sending from? Can you use the mail servers for that domain rather?
