Hi Guys

Someone pls help. Every now and again outlook is adding another attachment view under columns.

The problem: I have about 10 attachment views next to one sender, it shows about 10 paper clips. I try and delete one from the view and Outlook shuts down. I have reported the problem but there is no fix on the updates. Is there anyone on here that can pls help... I'm @ my whits end.

Just a note this happens in my Personal folder and not the server one.

Problem with Word 2003 as email editor

Here's another reason I want to learn how to do things myself...

Hardrive crashed. Paid big money to get all the old stuff backed up to a new hard drive. New hard drive now installed as a back drive - so I now have 2 hard drives. Kind of like having 2 hearts or double trouble? Probably double trouble but now I am set up to backup to the 2nd drive 3x a week (or so I am told by *)

New drive installed by local geek*. All seems fine. Got all my stuff back and copied onto the main drive. EXCEPT when I want to send an email, I get an error message as there is some problem with using Word 2003 as the email editor. Also happens if I open Word and then try to send an email. Of course, I can disable Word as the email editor but then I lose the use of my many "signatures" which I use a lot.

Killadoob, thanks for the advice on Perfect Disk which I am now using. I was asking about increasing ram to speed up my machine. Anyway, the forum has already saved me R50. The geek offered to sell me some used 256k ram for R200. I said I know the prices, I can get it for less. He said "OK, R150" !

I see you don't like Outlook. I use it for my mail order business, using Gmail for my private stuff. But it has features like signatures which I like signatures, for example. What are the alternatives?

Yes.

Install Thunderbird and ask it to import all the settings/Inboxes/Outboxes/Addresses et al.

I really can't help on the Outlook aspect because I can't visualize your problem. (I don't have Outlook installed)

Installed Thunderbird but it did not recognize my passwords for some reason. The geek reinstalled Outlook and it works fine. So I gues I will stick with it for now. Thanks for the help.:)
