Hi all
I use Iburst as my ISP and GoDaddy as my web/e-mail provider.
Using Outlook 2007, provider uses POP3
I recently decided to add a wifi router at home so that we no longer had to fight over who has the internet connection.
All works 100% except for receiving emails.
When connected to the router via Ethernet cable, mails are received with no problems. But when connected via wireless, no mails are received (mails are sent though). There are no error messages. Receive status at bottom right of Outlook states "Receiving message 1 of "xx" - 28b of xxMb received." Eventually, it goes to message 2, then 3 until the last message, but no messages get received. Connect the ethernet cable and all mails come in.
Whilst on wireless, I can browse the internet without any issues.

Anyone have any experience as to what is causing this and how to possibly resolve?

Outlook is still is full of bugs, but in my experience I have found that most of these problems that make no sense go away when you upgrade to a modern version.

Have been doing a lot of upgrades recently for users still using 2007.

Antivirus with a firewall? Wifi network set as public or home network?

Glad you asked supersunbird. I have 3 PC's at home experiencing the identical problem. They are set up on "Home" network, of which 2 belong to a Homegroup. 1 laptop was re-built in the passed week, without any antivirus or firewall software installed or activated as yet - just to test if such was causing the issue. Yet it still persists.

Windows firewall disabled? Strange that it mentions that its receiving the messages, so many of so many MB... maybe try it with SSL encryption enabled on incoming server, port 993 (if it already isn't).

Disable you av and test
Type start - run
Then outlook.exe /safe and test to see if it is your outlook or not

Win10 tend to this when you upgraded
if so just run sfc /scannow

Thanks all for the input - I tried all that was mentioned, along with a few other things I picked up, but no joy I'm afraid.
Seems to me that I-Burst/Wireless/Router/MS combination is most likely the cause of the issue (you know - one of those things that no-one of the four is at fault, but put them together and you have a problem that no-one will admit to being theirs....). But I have not tried any other combination yet to perhaps eliminate which is likely at fault.
I will continue to try and find some form of resolution, and if I do I will post it back here, but my hopes are not very high.
Thanks again for the input/advice.
