Outlook 2007 singl-click P-A-I-N!!!!

Guys, please HELP!!!
I like to preview mails before I can respond/action accordingly. But, recently I'd click on an email and all it'd take is a SINGLE-CLICK and the mail opens. This doesnt always happen, so it takes a double-click to open mail, usually. Those few times when mails open from a single click drive me CRAZY!!! Please help.

How to prevent a single click from opening an e-mail in Outlook 2007

Try disabling the preview/reading pane - this should get you the results you want.

I doubt that it would, Ivan. I need the preview pane. I will have a look at your link later. I need preview - that's how I check if something requires immediate attention or not. Actually, I've step outlook to "not open mail" when previewing mail. I only open emails, by double-clicking, when ready to action. Thank you.
