Outlook 2010 download headers only doesn't work.

Client is running Outlook 2010 with email configured to download headers only.

When you open a mail a pop-up asks you to choose to download the rest of the mail.

Then press send and receive.... if you try open the mail the very same pop-up appears.

If you close Outlook and re-open it you can open that particular mail - but if there was an attachment with it it is lost.

Client says this was working until a few days ago and he has not made any changes to the OS or installed additional software.

My thoughts are something has changed on the mail server side ( Cybersmart ) but they say not ....

Any ideas ?

Try another email client. (Eg thunderbird etc)

If you can't fix: I've used the free version of Mailwasher [since my dial-up days !] to achieve the same results ...

System Restore to when it was all working fine.

Installed Thunderbird - works perfectly.

I've tried an Outlook repair which didn't help so it's either un-install/reinstall office or do a system restore.

Update Office to latest SP and updates, if it isn't.
