For those that will stumble on this in future and google for it.
Outlook 2013 64Bit works fine, except it needs a registry key that 2010 has, which it doesn't have. Programs like Adobe Reader give an error that Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client.. All settings are correctly set, Outlook is properly configured as default and mail sending and receiving works as normal.
I've been seeking a solution the whole morning and finally got one here:
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...indows-8/82f8588e-e8d9-4230-8559-0429982a378c
The short answer is this:
1. Create registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook
2. Create String value:
Bitness
3. Set the String value for Bitness to:
x64
That should fix it and you can carry on as usual.
