Using Microsoft Outlook 2003. For the last few weeks, when I insert a file as an attachment, the name does not a appear under the subject line. The file icon (as in the My Documents window) appears in the body of the email, wherever the cursor was located when the insert instruction was executed. One can move it from place to place in the body. It is clickable and does bring up the file. But it is odd. It may be that I struck a particular key sequence by mistake which caused this to occur, but cannot find a way to change it back to "normal". Thanks for considering this matter, and for any advice.

Your Outlook is set to use the RTF format for creating email. Change this....
- Open your TOOLS menu
- Select OPTIONS
- Select the MAIL FORMAT tab

It is in this window that you can change your message format from RICH TEXT (which is RTF) to HTML or PLAIN text.

Can we get MS to pay us for doing their support for them? Hmmm. And with the idiots in the office here, I'd get rich. Just today she asked: "How do I get rid of this extra page at the end?" To which I answered: "Hit the backspace key." ...: "Oh." :-))
