Outlook e-mail wont connect (modem?)

Recently changed from my normal 'Pots' USB modem to the Mega100wr (or whatever) Wifi modem. Browsing the web works fine but when I try doing e-mail stuff I get the error message as if there is no connection. All my e-mail account info is the same so I don't see why simply using a new modem should do this but anyway, I can't find where to change it or even if that's the right way to fix this.

Always nice when technology 'just doesn't work for some obscure reason' even though everything is as it should be...
