My question is, would a vegan restaurant offer non-vegan dishes for meat eaters?

Can a person go into a vegan restaurant and order a steak?

If not, why is his stance so shocking to the vegan?

There is a difference between not serving a type of food and banning a type of person.
I think what has happened here is they got people complaining so they are just saying - we wont cater for you so please don't pester us.

I saw a new "Steakhouse/Grill Restaurant advertise their opening on IG here in the NL. The 2nd comment underneath the OP:

"Do you have Vegan options?"
