Just had news from a friend of mine in Switzerland and thought I'd rune your day as well - just like he's ruined mine.

His DSL has just been upgraded from 5MB to 10MB - its going to cost the equivalent of R200 a month! No Cap!!!

I've just sent him my cv! :D

The next person to mention overseas prices is going to be hit with some hoodoo :D

Only 10mb ...here in london £18 gets u uncapped 24mb.:)

And here we are, blessed with what we have and should be or are forced to be content with. Thanks the Telscum and the ANC greed!

I'm on another ISP 8mb and my average during the day is round about 750KBS.Will be changing to 24mb when I move apartments in January. Also I have only had about 15mins downtime in a year since being on my current adsl, compare that to telscum.

With what ISP is that? Bethere is £22 I see.
What ISP were you using with the speed test in your Signature?

That speed test is taken at work but the line is far more than whats stated there.
I think i broke speedtest.net as it just shoots up to the highest it can go and back down lol

Bethere is £18 now.

Well you can tell your friend that my service provider is...

...Africa's largest integrated communications company, providing integrated communications solutions to an entire range of customers. Telkom's passion is to become world-class.

k, you win :D

in France one can get 100mb/it FTTH for 70 euros per month. Uncapped, of course.

So effectively what I am paying for a 5gb cap on a 4mbit line here is the same as what I would pay for a 100mbit uncapped FIBRE line somewhere that doesn't SUCK.
