Hi

I just want to know before buying this game - will it work perfectly fine on a 2mb line?
 
indeed it will - latency is more important than throughput for most if not all games. I don't really know a game that requires more than 2mbps for a single user.

People don't realise that a 20Mbps ADSL and 2Mbps line is exactly the same latency wise.

This has happen enough times that I had to come up with a story for non tech people to understand.

I always explain it as the 20Mbps line being a bus with 20 people and the 2Mbps line being a car with 2 people, if they both travel to the same place they will arrive at the same time but the bus will have transported 20 people instead of 2 people, or 20GB instead of 2GB.

The distance travelled, i.e. the length of the road or the length of the copper stays the same.
