My contract has ended. Now the phone is mine on MyTopup 75. I still pay R75.00 + R7.00 pm billing.

R85.00 for R75.00 airtime.

I can pay R100.00 for a cellphone AND get R120.00 airtime. Something sucks here.

I'm currently on a reduced fee weekender contract. I pay R60/month for the normal R135/month contract, but got a cheaper phone with it.

I sold the phone for something like R750 in the end since my fiance didn't want it. So I'm basically paying R690 for 24 months -> R29.75/month for 120 off-peak minutes.

I could kick myself for waiting so long though, I could have upgraded more than 4 months sooner, but never got around to it :p

Just switch to MTN prepaid. What's the point in having a contract if you're not financing a phone?

If you know that you need a certain amount of airtime per month, say R100, then getting a contract on reduced subscription, such as Anytime 100 for R49 per month, makes more sense.

Usually the really good reduced subscription deals comes with a phone. Just sell the phone and use the cash to "finance" the first couple of months of subscription and use your old phone.

Wish they advertised special on their website like vodacom does.

I see ICASA has ordered all providers to ASK the people if they want to renew after 24 months and not to do so automatically.
