P!ssed off at Sahara

So I FINALLY decide i'm going to get the Biostar 7900GS from Sahara. I phoned them yesterday to place the order, they say unfortunately they don't have any stock of those in PE, but they'll get be one from JHB if i'm willing to wait a day longer. I'm fine with that, not really in a big rush.

Incidentally, yesterday I also received an ad from them with some specials where they say you even get a free sahara 5.1 speaker set with that card.

So 10mins ago they phone me back, saying they don't have any stock in JHB either. :mad: :mad:

FFS, YESTERDAY you sent an ad out that it's on special, I ordered it YESTERDAY. HOW the HELL can you advertise something you don't have??? :mad: :mad:

I might aswell place an ad in the local newspaper that you can get the 8800GTX for R2000 and whenever someone wants to order it say I don't have stock.

It's called bait-and-switch.
 
Sahara has a policy of first come first serve, but theirs has a bit of a twist. If you place an order now and say you will be transferring the money immediately and someone walks into their office with cash wanting the same product they will sell it to him. So now they will have your money and no stock on the item you ordered first. They won't let you know either, so the courier will go pick up your stock and will get told that there is no stock left. This leaves you paying courier fees and you have to struggle with getting your money back.
 
There is one foolproof method for getting what you want from Sahara:

Don't order anything from them. Ever.
 
dude i bought one today from jhb they have plenty got my nice free speakers as well

i could phone em for you tomorrow and order if you pay packaging but then again you dont know me from a bar of soap :)

duuuude, if you didn't buy i probably would have gotten one

apparantly they had six, or that's what the guy said, but they're all out of stock now

anyways, already ordered an XFX from Axiz instead, cost me R160 bucks more tho :(
 
i havent had time to load em up but they look really good eh

1800w a hot chick on the front how can they not be good hahah :)

elieve or not sahara's new products are actually really good quality now

specially those cheap ass laptop for 3555 with a all in 1 lexmark

they may be cheap ass speakers but the vga card is good quality and great price just for the card now to add the speakers for free is just amazing

well that laptop isn't bad, not great, but good i'd say. Somewhere in the manual or some other place I think I saw something mentioning that it's made by Lenovo, so it can't be that bad. :p

yeah, even if the speakers are crappy, it's still a great price :cool:
