anyone else struggling with p2p on mweb...totally dead!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Faetsa,I'm on Mweb uncapped and torrents is downloading very good.
Speeds of 100kbps and more.
I truly cannot complain.

Yes there is an issue with international connectivity as stated by AeroVPS.
Give them some time.

I must really commend you AeroVPS for your activity on the forums! I can really appreciate people trying to help others on here. :)

thanks guys...was wondering what was going on. will give it a few hours. cheers for all the help!

seacom issues last i heard, they lost 50% usage or something

yea

Yep, there must be some issue - I'm only getting avg 360kb/s with Webafrica Titan, where its normally between 400 and 450kb/s.

... edit - on P2P - rest seems 100% going at 400kb/s+

On 4Mb business uncapped and torrents and everything else downloading at full speed. Do notice dips now and then due to seacom problem....

This has been down since early this morning, how long is this going to take!

mweb are talking ***. i setup a transparent proxy on one of my rackspace servers and am routing traffic through there. Guess what. I'm suddenly getting 400k/sec from rapid share.

fkn mweb

It's called shaping! That's one of the shaped sites, and that's why our service offers a rapidshare downloader as well.
My 4mbps uncapped is also getting around 420kbps RIGHT NOW - because torrents are shaped, I'm using my own TFVPS...

I can't comment as far as the others are concerned, because I don't even bother downloading torrents or rapidshare files to my PC, I only use a TFVPS for that - but 12mb file in weeks is not the way I experienced my torrent downloads before - there's something way wrong! :D

Seems its only P2P - I'm downloading a torrent file off my TFVPS at 420kbps - and most of the complaints seems to be torrents not http downloads?

Dont use P2P, its a common protocol that will always be shaped. Download stuff off the http protocol or ftp, speeds are so much better!

I'm completely dead on torrents. Not a peep... not even a whisper. Not a single itsy-bitsy bit.
What the hell am I gonna watch tonight?! :O
