Hi,
I just signed up with UUNet and am trying to get some good international p2p dl speeds going. No luck so far.
What ports should I use and what p2p program?
Using DC++ atm, on port 80 and 21 but can only get roughly 2-3kb per connection. I guess I could max out the connection by downloading a ton of stuff, but thats not really a solution.....
Im using a linux box as a router and the port forwarding is working fine, so thats not the prob.

Any advice?

Thanks

Yes it is too slow!

The same expierce here! I'm a webafrica subriber for a week now and I also find dc++ and all other p2p (torrents, ets) 2-3kbs. International FTP's also 2-3kbs. Seems there's a int bandwith problem at the moment - see the thread elsewehere in the forum. Int Http browisng and downloading seems to be OK here

:(

Yeah, http downloads seem fine here to. WoW totaly unplayable. 20000+ pings. No p2p and no international gaming, I doubt I`ll be getting another account next month. :(

P2P Speeds

I use shareaza. With a 384 package i've been getting average 20k. But I often get up to 35k. Especially on gnutella

I just hope UUNET get their problems sorted ASAP - the slow ftp downloads (natl + intnat) is really annoying....

Since the UUNET problems sorted out yesterday I get 30-40 kB/s!!!! DSL 384
