I'm new here, just got my Telkom 2mbps uncapped installed a few days ago. I know they shape torrents during the day but I'm getting under 1kbps, surely there's a problem there right? My torrents have enough seeds and even my direct downloads are kinda slow (38-180kbps) . I had a capped line a few months ago and my download speed was ~208kbps since I'm close to the exchange. Help?

Experiencing the same. Some days are better, and it gets better in the early hours.
Downloads should be around 180kb/s to 220 or so.

Let the download go over night.

On uncapped accounts they shape p2p downloads between 07h00 and 23h59.

Schedule your downloads to start at 00h01 and at end at 07h00.

You should get full line speed during that period and it does not count towards your usage bar.

Question: Why did you move from capped t uncapped? What is your monthly usage?

I hope it gets better, I mean I can't wait an hour for a 2mb file again lol

I'm doing that now but I prefer my PC to be off once i get into bed. Hopefully the day speeds get better

They won't. This whole forum schedules downloads. If you're worried about power consumption, maybe get something like a raspberry pi and set that to do your downloads. They use very little power.

Any decent torrent client will have an option to shut down when downloads are complete.

My previous usage was over 10gb so I decided to try uncapped for 2 months and see if it's worth it, of my usage is lower than I expected then I'll drop to a 4mb 20gb package. But considering I've already downloaded over 10gb I think I'll stick to this
