Soulseek is unshaped so thast a nce start, but its primarliy for music. And doesnt do multi threads, so you have to que up a few users that can each go at around 20kb, depending on their own upstream allocated to you.
No config neccesary for Slsk.
Anything else is shaped, so you will need a proxy to get unshaped speeds. btw, shaped speeds are about 1-8kb.
Im not shure what good proxies are around anymore, mine is dead..
You have to connect to it from DC++, which is a P2P app itself. Download it from http://www.dcpp.net
There are also some other clients to use as its open source. But the standard one is fine.
Then you simply connect to this hub by going File --> Quick connect and enter the hubs address (ibust-za.kicks-ass.net)
The you can add it your favourites.
for bigger files i suggest torrents (if you can't find it on the hub), i use azureus.
I know many people here hate torrents and think it's crap compared to the hub, but if i limit my uploads to 1KB/s, that's ok for me.
2) limewire is http, no config necessary there, and for torrents use encryption.
