PABX System/ Office Telephone Advice

Hi Guys

I have recently moved my business from home office to new professional offices. I would like advice with regards to telephony solutions.

How does a PABX system work? The offices seem to have one that was previously installed. There's a switch board phone there and one or two telephones for each office (3 offices). Do i need to apply for the connection of a normal analogue line? I would need ADSL.

The offices are about 1km from my house and I believe I should be able to transfer the number to the new offices. Is this true?

It's an office with 5 staff members.

Contact Riberry Communications or a similar VOIP company. You don't need to go into a 5 year contract for hardware of R100 000s that will be outdated.

VOIP is scalable, cost effective and convenient. Almost everything is remotely controlled so you don't need a tech on site. It also runs on your CAT 5/6 network, so less cabling.

IMO VOIP is the way forward. It is like comparing Android to Symbian.
