Hi there,
Does anybody knows, what the Voltage tolerance is for the Multichoice HD PVR 2P decoder ( i.e. from 11.5 to 13 Volt or whatever). Due to the loadshedding, I have placed 9 x NiMh , 5 Amphour batteries in serial, between the 12 Volt charger and the PVR. The problem is that if I use 8 batteries, it bom's out quite soon after ESKOM has gone done. By 9 NiMh batteries, the required charging voltage stays only by 1,35 Volt. A NiMh battery needs up to 14 to 15 Volt to be fully charged and by 1.33 Volt, the batteries are only be charged up to 25 %. i.e. the PVR also bom's out after a little while.

Does anybody knows the Voltage tolerance for those Pace HD PVR 2P decoders. (I checked the Pace website, no luck)
Bert
