Package Losses

Seems like it's the end of the month curse for iBurst??


I'm getting package losses all over the show.

Interesting thing is that that the package losses seems to be to international sites mostly.

Ping statistics for 196.30.31.120:
Packets: Sent = 27, Received = 27, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 58ms, Maximum = 227ms, Average = 108ms

vs.

Ping statistics for 216.239.39.99:
Packets: Sent = 28, Received = 21, Lost = 7 (25% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 321ms, Maximum = 1741ms, Average = 477ms

well 25% loss is really bad, but an average of 477ms international is still really good. Must be the international uplink providers.

And 321ms?? howd you get that right.. what adress is that IP, america, Uk etc.
I pinged that nad got around 500's.. but i was busy downoading and capped.

If i can get that pings I won't mind about the packet loss! I get like 900 pings to local sites....haha

I've pointed my patch antennae to Erasmuskloof in PTA, haven't checked if that is the tower it is connecting 2.

Wow, man those pings are amazing.. you guys in Pretoria must be flying. 300ms to a international IP.
AND in the morning.. how?

Your maximun is pretty mcuh my average.. well i geuss i just have a pretty *** connection, mine is set up pretty bad. i think I might install UTTrace start now and go get myself a better conection. Thanks for the insparation.
