Hello everyone.
I have just had my ADSL line installed and use ABSA ADSL as ISP.

I'm looking for some technical help (not too technical answers as i'm a bit of a pc fool)

I'm having troubles accessing certain sites. Keep getting "page cannot be displayed" pages.

This is not random as it happens to the same sites over and over. (www.easyjet is an example)

I can access my mail and skype no problem.

Telkom says its not the line, as if you can access 1 site then there's no problem.

ABSA says its not there fault, they suggest its the browser!

Could it be a firewall issue.

If I go back to dial-u (ABSA as well) no problem.

Very frustrating, any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

hey clueless123 :)

methinks the problem lies with the IP and DNS settings that the Telkom technicians leave you with.

search the Forums for 'Bridge mode' and once you know how, put your Router in Bridge mode. Bridging will solve many problems :)

hopefully someone could also give the correct IP and DNS settings to use.. we don't want the 10.0.0.2 settings...

cheers

Thanks Postman.
Problem fixed. I changed the IP protocol to automatically obtain and bang alls well. Thanks again.
