Painkillers for birds?

I think my Conure has 7 'flight feathers' on each wing .... I trim the outside 4 on each side. Lets him still fly a short distance but with no height.

yeah either the inside or outside feathers, inside is prefer though as the outside might cause a bit unsuitability in flights. Vets who clip only one wing deserves to have 1 testical removed!

my bird is also a eclectus female. red ones are females green ones male. lovely ones careful warning though: during mating season she will yell your years off. From 2pm to 4pm.

They are beautifull! I have a Vosmari, the one with the yellow tail feathers, all her tail feathers have fallen out though because she kept on falling off her perch in the cage because of the broken toe that was in the way (she gripped the toe instead of the perch) and that is why I had to get it amputated. She doesn't have any long tail feathers left now but at least she can sit on that perch without falling off... even with the bandage on

mine can no longer go anywhere but the bottom of the cage from time to time she will maneuver herself to the top with her beak. all her food and water is at the bottom, maybe its a thing with eclectus losing their toes?

shame, my little bugger lost all his tail feathers as a result of me .... I woke up one night and was 'still in' a nightmare and thought he was a spider, so I knocked him away ..... except my other hand was on all his tail feathers I felt absolutely terrible for days

shame, my little bugger lost all his tail feathers as a result of me .... I woke up one night and was 'still in' a nightmare and thought he was a spider, so I knocked him away ..... except my other hand was on all his tail feathers I felt absolutely terrible for days

removing a feather from a parrot is like removing 1 nail from your hand, Parrot disease is where the parrot pluks out all its feathers due to irritation, I didnt know it was my cocotiel who gave him this. Basically he can never recover completely but he is looking beter. I got a maroon and red tail African grey and one with a funny mutation its its belly making it red :>

Well, mine also have two missing, both are the same, one on each claw... the long toes at the back, the outside ones. She can at least still climb up and down with the other three on each claw

hehe, shame! they can give you nagal a scare, like when you are in the kitchen making food and the grey tokolosh walks in and starts tuning you! I have an 3 year old african grey as well!

I know, poor bugger couldn't land properly without squawking in pain for a while
