Hi Guys,
I recently bought an H80i. Just a few quick questions.
Does the box come sealed, do you have to remove plastic before opening the box for tamper proofing?
Are hair line paint cracks on top of the pump block near the Corsair logo part of the design?
The reason I ask as this has happenend to me.
Your comments will be appreciated.
I don't have a pic I have since returned it to the online store I bought it from who sent it to their supplier; and the feedback I received was the cracks are part of the Design. They have since refused to replace it. They went on to say the they sometimes open the boxes to insert warranty info, which I think is a lie because all corsair warranty info is inside the box already.
They want to to take it back as is or refund me less 10% for handling. And if want a new one I need to order another and pay the 10% handling and shipping cost.
The best I way can describe the cracks are; the plastic top where the logo is situated is manufactured with the paint on the opposite side of the plastic, and it appears as if someone had pushed down on that area causing the plastic to flex and form cracks on the paint on the inside. I'd imagine if the LED lit up you would see the logo with cracks around it.
I need your opinions and what would you do?
