I recently started fresh for the third time. First was my US acc, had a fully fledged raiding rogue there. Second was the move to EU from US,had a druid there and just started doing Kara when my account got hacked and I took a break.

Third time is just now and I rolled a pally, I always wanted one but looking at ppl levelling them was like looking at old people do the nasty:sick:

After the makeover I'm really enjoying my pally, I feel immortal:D

After the nerf I do occasionally run oom if I overdo it but I keep blessing of wisdom up instead of might and I do ok.

My proffs are herb/alc and that free instacast heal really helps when I pull big groups.

If any of you have some pally tips or experiences that you would like to share plz do.

You'll find loads of tips at elitistjerks.com for any spec.

Seal Command/Martyr and judge wisdom on single mobs to hit them hard and fast and not go OOM so easily.

Use Seal of Vengeance to stack dot's on multiple mobs and consecrate + holy storm to AOE them down asap

Use your instaflashes every time you can,if you specced sheath of light ( which for that bonus spellpower is a must ) you may land a crit an put a 10sec HoT on yourself, very nice for chainpulls

If I was you, I would spec Ret and faceroll 2k rating.

I didn't know what faceroll meant so I looked it up:
Originating (presumably) on the World of Warcraft forums, this is an essentially derogatory concept some people employ that means that all that a certain class must do in order to achieve success in the game is to bind every key on their keyboard to one ability that is perceived to be overpowered, and then continue to roll their face across the keyboard. The notion is that this one ability is so amazingly overpowered in relation to those of other classes, all one has to do is absently spam it as much as possible (and they might as well do it with their face, because there isn't any other use for the big stupid thing on top of their shoulders).

Thanx to everyone that gave some insightfull and meaning input it's much appreciated.

To th3s1ck, FO and go troll somewhere else

I think th3s1ck was referring to the now defunct pally dominance as ret in pvp, it was nerfed this week. I tend to refer to my pulling style when tanking as faceroll tanking as i tend(ed) to mash keys on pull to get my threat up ;)

Mine was more a case of using my face to get as many skills to proc as quickly as possible :P

Both valid to a degree

Holy Storm is still incredibly bursty along with a SoC crit from stunning you can faceroll most to death

Think you could keybind SoC,Repentance,Judgement of ...,Hammer of Justice,Holy Storm,Judgement of ....,and your opponent would be a puddle in most instances :P

You should always be ret when levelling a pally (even before the patch buffs.) I would recommend however to still consider tanking or healing when reaching end game content. Not that a ret pally can't dps (cause they surely can,) it's just that everyone are forever looking for either a tank or healer to complete a group. How often to you see a group struggling to find more dps?

Got to admit, I also went prot during my mid life (around lvl40) for the AOE grinding, but somehow found it harder to AOE in outland. Perhaps my gear sucked too much at that point, not sure. At around lvl65 I went back to ret and found the last levels much faster.

With the new itemization and stat consolidation of 3.0x it should be far easier to dps and tank with normal plate rewards. Old gear itemization was a bit hard to match up

Just spec prot* till u hit 60 then spec retri for qeusting or spec holy and instance farm fastest way u can level..
*Prot aoe leveling is imba leet tank about 6 mobs 2-3 levels higher than you and come out with 70-80% hp :D

If you pala your worst challenge is to cope with stigma and history around paladin.. Every pala has been called lolret or had "pinkadin" and "rofl stfu and heal " thrown at them. Accept that and you will do okay.
