Palm One Treo600 HELP NEEDED

I have a Palm treo 600, when I insert my sim mtn or vodacom it says "SIM CARD NOT ALLOWED!YOUR PHONE CANNOT BE USED WITH THIS SIM CARD"

Can any 1 please tell me where can i get software or somthing to make it work with our local sim cards please..

found a site http://600unlock.com/ but they want $15, and that's bad..
 
So its not from SA?
Go to errr I think its leaf or someone that deals with Palm in SA maybe they can unblock it for you.
 
i am looking for software that i can use to unlock it myself, any 1 that has the software please pm.
 
Let me start by saying that I question whether the effort is worth it for an obsolete phone such as the 600.

Anyway, there is no "unlocking software" per se, what you will have to do is get hold of a generic (unlocked, unbranded) GSM ROM, and flash your phone with this. It is a lengthy process, not difficult but involved, with the usual caveat that you may end up with a paperweight (since you can at least use it as a PDA at the moment).

Go to www.mytreo.net and www.treocentral.com, do a bit of seraching there and you should have enough info to get started.
 
LOL I have no idea how to unlock it haven't tried... But i'm sure i could in which case it would have to be mine :P
