South African real estate company hit by data breach

Pam Golding Properties has disclosed that it suffered a data breach of its customer relationship management system hosted on its servers in South Africa.

The real estate company assured that no banking details, financial information, commercial information, and other documents were compromised. It also said only some clients were impacted.

Same as me. Got the email and was like htf do you even have my details.
Same with me. So now why do they have my details and are they using it for the purpose I initially gave consent for? I doubt it as I don’t even know why they have it, they are already in breach of popia

I am a client and received the fancy email

That's all very well, but why did they need to SMS me about the breach, when I am not nor ever have been a client. Oh wait, they must have a 'spam' database...

Me too.
I got a "media statement" from them besides me never having them as agents, I ignored it.

I guess they wanted to let us know about the data breach, whilst themselves are breaching our data.

Ah, The Database. I wonder if that has been leaked. LOL
