I have the option of buying this baby abroad, 2GIG RAM, 1.6Ghz low voltage C2D processor, intel onboard gfx
, 80gb HD. It has a high res screen tho
for 14 inches (1400 x 1050 SXGA) and its a toughbook, Panasonic actually assembles these
themselves in Japan, I'll be getting a Singaporean model. I'll
be getting mine with Win XP of course.
It can withstand a 76 cm drop while open, keyboard is spill proof
and you can put 100kg on the closed laptop without it breaking.
It weights 1.55kg!!!
It costs more than a Sony Vaio SZ 13.3 which would cost me SG 2.500
and an Apple MBP 3090 SGD. Price is 3.400 SG with 2GB RAM and en extra
160GB ext HD.
I need a portable notebook, what do you folks think? Would you
go for it. Apparently it's a real salaryman's notebook , built to
withstand those crowded Tokyo subways
.
I was gonna go for a 15 inch MBP or a 13.3 inch Vaio but
this baby has me intrigued.
