Panasonic NV-GS57 & SD card

I'm currently sitting with 2 8gb sdhc cards that I bought by mistake (should've been micro ) . Since the vendor had trouble sourcing the other cards, I decided to buy them at a retail shop and keep the others.

They've been formatted via a laptop's SD slot, using Panasonic's SDFormatter utility, but I still get "Card Error" when inserted into the camera's SD slot. Could it be that it can't handle the 8gb cards ? I don't have a smaller size to test with ? Or am I just a bit stupid here ?

I don't think the camera handles DSHC cards. i.e. maximum 2GB

Edit: I'm sure there are a few Nikon and Canon DSLR owners on the forum that'll buy them from you for a suitable discount...

Thanks, was afraid of that. Since I have no other devices that can utilise them, except for serving as memory sticks in the wife's laptop, I'll probably look to flog them. Will keep an eye on my PMs for any early bird offers before I put them in Classifieds
