i saw this on a website. what is efficiency if cost is more per watt?

Monocrystalline solar cells are the oldest type of solar cell.
While they cost more per watt, they are the most efficient solar cell available.

Efficiency in terms of solar is about how much sunlight can be converted to electricity.

E.g. a 330 W panel (with size of 2 m x 1 m) can convert 165 W/m2 to electricity. We standardize the ideal panel to be 1000 W/m2 (basically what the sun can give in ideal conditions), so a 330 W panel will have 0.165 = 16.5 % efficiency.
