panther to Tiger upgrade?

What does it take to upgrade the OS?

I have lots of stuff on Panther, and will move it to Tiger next week. Do I have to delete everything and plunk it back in once Tiger is installed or does it retain all that stuff in the background during the install?

The upgrade is a pretty harmless migration.

yeah I know.... I'm not as cool as the rest of you guys.

But Panther is solid as well and really only am doing it because my bro has an extra copy to offer me. Otherwise, I would just wait for Leopard and a new Macbook.

Tiger is much nicer imo so I doubt you'll have any regrets.

Always back up, especially before such a major upgrade.
