Hi all
I have a Paradox MG 5050 alarm system. We used someone in the past to do maintenance (e.g. zone programming) but honestly, he messed up so much that I downloaded the programming manuals and am trying to do this myself now.
We don't use the "stay" mode at the moment, and I want to be able to arm the system and bypass the beams outside easily. I want to try and do this using the stay mode, so I can arm the whole inside of the house but bypass the outside beams, when needed
A normal stay zone definition looks like this:
(09-1)(123****8)
and my understanding is I can't use the zone attributes "123" when the zone type is "09" as the system will ignore the zone attributes. Programming the system via the keypad sucks and I don't have Babyware, so I asked ChatGPT for help.
ChatGPT said that if I use 05 zone type (follow) I can set up a zone as follows:
(05-1)(*23****8)
meaning, it isn't included in stay but the "23" meaning it is included in sleep and full arm
Is my understanding correct?
Additional advice as to where to get a reputable source of Babyware would be great. I've got a old USB/TTL converter lying around I could use
