Paradox NV780MR tamper alarm

I've been facing some scarce, but real problems with the paradox NV780MR outdoor sensor.
It would generate a "tamper" alarm, setting off the alarm system at random times of the day (no rain/sun hitting it/birds climbing on top of it).

After a while, the tamper alarm would clear itself and opening the device + cleaning it doesn't give a lasting solution (a week or 2/1 month later it repeats).

The unit has the default sensitivity setting, as it is not the sensor but the tamper that goes wrong.

I've considered disabling tamper alarms altogether (as my sensors are not really accessible without first being spotted).

Any other thoughts on what I can do?

Get rid of the tamper circuit. It can be disabled in programming. It is a really good device but this is one of the drawbacks

Thanks @chrisc! Good to know that this is a general fault and not a faulty unit that I have to return

I disabled Tamper alarms in the system, as well as the Audible Trouble Warning (as the panel is in my room wakes me at night). This way I will only get e-mails and see a message on the panel when there is a Trouble/Tamper on any of the units (and won't get false alarms)

I did so through BabyWare by: double clicking "MG5050" and selecting Areas.
I then clicked the tab: Supervision
Under the option "Tamper Recognition", set it to "Trouble Only" (this way it only shows a trouble on the panel/sends an email (if set up to do so), but does not sound the alarm).

To disable the keypad beeping on trouble I opened Areas once more
Clicked the "Audible Feedback" tab and selected "Disabled" in the "Audible Trouble Warning" dropdown
