Parallels > Actions - "install kaspersky internet security".

Ah but you're only installing it in the virtual machine so it's ok![]()
That day is here - if you cant play the game in Parallels bootcamp offers 100% native Windows with full driver support.I know, but still.. hehe. I hope they can port parallels over to linux. I think the only time MacOS or *nix will be able to compete with Windows as a desktop is the day I can play all my games on them correctly.
I really hope that day is soon.

Besides windows I have Ubuntu running under parallels - decided to give it another chance.
I thought linux already had various virtualisation methods available?
Under bootcamp it is 100% windows - the only mac aspect is the hardware - so if bf2 will run on a 2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 2gb ram and an ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR3 SDRAM then it will run on my macbook pro.
I dont have windows installed on this machine and I'm not sure if my mini's specs are worth my trying it but we'll see.![]()
Its full on windows with all the hardware drivers.Does bootcamp use all the hardware? Or is it like similar programs, that create virtual hardware?
I've wondered the same thing myself but as far as I can tell your parallels needs to share an existing xp installation.I am going to upgrade me HD in the macbook soon - just a question, I presume that parallels can use a bootcamp partition and not the other way round. Meaning I will have to install WinXP under bootcamp before I install parallels and point it to the bootcamp installation (am i right here?)

Yeah - I was thinking the exact same thing. Install on bootcamp . . . then share.Ummm - It looks easier to reinstall the whole thing under BC and then share with ||'s![]()
Shared bootcamp partition. Gives you the option of running the os natively. This thread is already derailed, so I might as well post here
Our company poilcy finally allows me to use my MBP as a work notebook. I am going to reinstall my WinXP from scratch, so I need to make a decision: WinXP in Bootcamp to share with ||s (which is the direction I am leaning towards) or again straight in ||s. What do you guys think?
