Parallels Desktop on a Mac Book Air or Pro

I am considering installing Parallels Desktop for Mac ver 10 on a Mac Book Air. But I heard that it drains the battery at an alarming rate. Anybody using Parallels and is it advisable

Uses more CPU and memory on top if what is already in use, so will use more battery.

It's not parallels, its virtualisation in general.

Their upgrades policy is one of the worst in the business, try VMware Fusion instead.
