Paris Protests over Pension reforms

That's on the UK side, primarily due to Brexit regulations requiring UK passports to be stamped by French Authorities before they cross into France. Infrastructure there was never built to cope with that new requirement, hence a delay as they have to stamp everyone's passport. With school holidays, bus traffic is up through the Channel.

Unless he is driving or taking a bus to Paris from the UK, that won't impact him at all.

Having flown in and out of Charles De Gaulle a few times through these protests, the airport has been fine. Baring an unusually long queue at passport control one Friday morning when I left Paris, I haven't had much trouble.
