An experience Software Developer / Analyst Programmer is needed for a 12 month contract (renewable) at our public sector client in Limpopo, Polokwane City
Duties
Liaise with other programmers, business analyst, system testers, database administrators and project managers.
To develop and maintain architecture using the latest Java toolsets
Provide overall design and structure of applications
Define and document the application design, develop Technical Specification
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE – A degree or equivalent national diploma in Information Communication Technology with majors in Information Systems or Computer Science. 10 years software development experience – 2 -3 years Solid experience in technical specification writing – Good understanding of OO Design – Experience in Linux / unix Operating System – Expreience in project life cycle (SDLC) – Experience in Java, J2EE, HTML, MySQL, PostgreSQL, PHP, Perl, XHTML, TOAD, SOAP, Version Control. – Exposure to .NET and Python – Should have knowledge of integration tools and methodologies – Exposure in GIS environment – 5 years relevant ICT experience – Exposure to Netbeans, Eclipse – Experience in Web Technologies / Scripting Tools (HTML, XML, Javascript and CSS, Java Beans, Joomla, Apache, PHP, IIS) – Exposure in development of applications in ArcGIS Server
