Just partioned my hardrive into a c and d drive, with c being the larger one for storage and d containing Windows XP. The problem is that I would like to swop it around (i.e. c drive holding the os and the d drive acting as the storage drive).

Is it possible? If so, how do I do it?

The second issue is that when I boot up it asks me to select which OS (possibly because there are still windows files on d). Can I simply delete the windows files?

Just an update :

I've just read how to swop drive letters, so I'll try that when I'm home. At least I'll have my C: being the main one again (if it works ;)

The second one I'm still not clear on. May I just delete Windows and Program files on my storage partition?

delete windows and program files, you might need to do a repair on the MBR, from native dos a fdisk /mbr normally works. Even easier tho and the way i would recommend is to right click my computer, choose properties, advanced, startup and recovery and then you will see a section where it mentions list of OS to boot from, uncheck the one you dont want and it will be fine from there.

HEH,
Umm Native DOS is where you use a boot disk to get into the dos layer that windows sits on, its not like command prompt in winows as that is still subject to windows rules.
I would recommend you try the second method i mentioned, it will work.
