As part of my plan to upgrade to ADSL, I canceled the Surfmore 10 on the phone line. Today (3 days later), the line is dead. I'm starting to suspect that the line has been canceled, instead of just the Surfmore 10 package. Esp since the other line is still OK.

The thing is, I just don't understand where I went wrong. I repeated everything at least twice, spoke clearly and was ultra friendly to the callcenter person. It even sounded like she was actually comprehending what I was saying.

Maybe I should not have used the word "cancel" in the conversation. They just hear "cancel" and start deleting **** randomly. At the end of the conversion I even said "So thats just the Surfmore being canceled, NOT the rest of the line." (Yes, Sir of course sir)

For fvcks-sake, what must one do to get these people to understand. Sign language, Single-syllable words, Bribes, what?

Just the surfmore being canceled... = No more surfing. NoSurfMore = You cant surf at all anymore.

If you cant surf at all anymore that must mean you dont have a telephone voice line, thereby implying you wanted your line also canceled.

haha...

Yeah I agree with you, Telkom consultants don't help you much.

Sounds exactly like the kind of logic they use. I'm too scared to phone and ask wtf is going on, cause they might decide to kill the other line too in their enthusiasm.

I aim to entertain

Looks like the line is really gone. I'm gonna watch the next bill like a hawk. If you guys see bloody heads rolling down Schoeman street then thats me complaining about billing for a dead line.
